One of the pedals is pressed during the self-tests following turning ON the
Electrosurgical Generator – release the pedal.
Actions to be taken are:
• If no Instrument is connected, connect the required Instrument.
• If no Interface Cable is connected, connect the Interface Cable and then
connect the required Instrument to the Interface Cable.
• If an Interface Cable and an Instrument are both connected, check all
connections.
• If the error condition persists, replace the Instrument. Return the Instru-
ment to Creo Medical.
• If the error condition persists, replace the Interface Cable.
• If replacing the Instrument and the Interface Cable does not correct the
error condition, then the Electrosurgical Generator is most likely to be
faulty. Contact Creo Medical.
Applicable only when using a single energy type instrument, for example, HS1
that uses the MW Coag output only.
Message will be displayed when the wrong foot pedal has been pressed –
release the wrong pedal and press the correct pedal.
Adjust the Speaker Volume as described in "Additional Settings".
Adjust the Screen Brightness as described in "Additional Settings".
Release the Footswitch pedal and then depress. If the message is still showing,
remove the Instrument and clean the tip of the Instrument. Refer to the
instruction for use of the Instrument for cleaning instructions.
If this fault condition occurs repeatedly, replace Instrument.
There might be electrical interference between the Electrosurgical Generator
and the endoscopic visualization equipment, or light generated from around
the Instrument during cutting could be causing saturation of the video camera.
Excessive tissue build-up on the tip of the Instrument increases the likelihood
of arcing and bright flashes that temporarily degrade video quality.
Release the Footswitch pedal and then reapply and / or reposition endoscopic
equipment connection cables away from the Electrosurgical Generator and its
Interface Cables or reposition the Electrosurgical Generator and clean the tip
of the Instrument.
