For obtaining a perfect carburation and easing starting, during
overhauls of the vehicle mod. VBA it is advisable to carry out
and starting
the following operations:

Operations to carry out
Front pilot light: ensure that there is sufficient play bet-
ween the bulb housing and bulb socket, so that the spring
action of the bulb holder is free to act of the above men-
tioned socket ensuring perfect contact.
If necessary, lightly retouch the bulb socket housing.
With the front and rear pilot lights on, due to the fact
that the stop light bulb and the front and rear lights are
connected in series, these latter parts will go out when
the brake pedal is actioned in the case where the stop
bulb is defective.
For mounting the aluminium gasket between the cylinder
and crankcase, proceed as on page 26 ( see Vespa 125
VNB l ).
Vespa 150/VBA up to VBA 1 T - 46095; Vespa G. L.
VGLA up to VGLA 1 T - 019284.
Apply the air regulator plate in the rear part of the
chassis as indicated on the spare parts list; substitute
the existing carburettor with the type incorporating a
starter device (coded SI 20/17 C) and in consequence
the new air cleaner, bellows, starter control cable, cor
responding to said carburettor ( see spare parts list).
