Fault
To avoid the possibility of damage to the bulbs , follow the
instructions previously indicated for the Vespa 125 Mod. VNB2
VNB 3 - VNB 4: in fact the electrical wiring diag. of these
mods. of Vespa 125 is similar to that of the 150 and G. L.
Mod. VBB - VLA.
In the case of a defective rectifier , check for fault y contacts
in the battery - rectifier circuit , ( blown fuse ; charging circuit
cables damaged ; unsoldered terminals ; lead to s p eedometer
illuminating light earthing etc. ) .
N. B. - To prevent possible damage to the rectifier , avoid run
ning the vehicle with the battery disconnected , exce p t in ca
ses of emer g ency , and even then onl
low revs.
- On vehicles prior to VS 3 T - 0023311 where a rapid di
schar g e of the battery is verified , substitute the existing
rectifier ( « semi - wave t y pe » ) with a « monophase bridge
type » , the clamps on the flywheel ma g neto , chassis and
batter y feed coil ( for the components to use , see the
Spare Parts List ) .
Connect the earthing wire from the headlamp with the
white wire of the flywheel magneto and secure under the
chassis fixin g screw b y means of an apposite terminal.
Connect the two clamps and rectifier with the added wi
res , as indicated in fi g . 4.
