Connecting to a Network

Your Ultimatte main unit is shipped with a default IP address of 192.168.10.220 but you can
change this address if you need to. This is important when sharing multiple Ultimatte units on
your network and controlling them using Ultimatte Software Control on your computer or a
single Smart Remote 4.
TIP
If you are connecting to more than one Ultimatte unit of the same type, it's a
good idea to give each unit a discreet name to make them easy to identify. For more
information, refer to the 'Blackmagic Ultimatte Setup' section.

Setting the IP Address

You can change the IP address for an Ultimatte main unit using the front panel LCD menu or
Blackmagic Ultimatte Setup software. For more information on using the front panel menu,
refer to the 'using the LCD menu' section.
To download the latest Ultimatte Setup software go to the Blackmagic Design support center
at www.blackmagicdesign.com/support. For installation information refer to the 'installing
Blackmagic ultimatte software' section in this manual.
The 'setup' tab of Blackmagic Ultimatte Setup has
default settings for static IP and a 'DHCP' option
To change the IP address using Blackmagic Ultimatte Setup:
1
