ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK
Follow the procedure below.
1 - Turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key.
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
Access the engine avoiding contact
with hot parts to avoid the risk of
burning or scalding. Do not stand near
hot parts to avoid injury due to heat
radiation. Wear appropriate protective
gloves and clothing.
2 - Position the engine horizontally.
3 - Clean the area surrounding the oil
dipstick (L) and the plug (M).
4 - Remove the oil dipstick (L) clean it
with a clean, lint-free cloth and refit it fully
home.
5 - Remove the oil dipstick (L) again and
check that the oil level is between the
"MIN" and "MAX" notches.
6 - To top up, unscrew the plug (M), clean
the area surrounding the filler hole and
pour engine oil up to and not beyond the
"MAX" notch.
7 - Refit the oil dipstick (L) and close the
plug (M).
IMPORTANT
For a correct engine filling oil quantity,
refer to the values in the General Data
table on page 14.
To avoid exceeding the maximum
allowed value, add the oil in small
quantities (e.g. 100-200 g at a time)
until it reaches the correct level. Do not
use the engine with oil level below the
MIN notch, or above the MAX notch.

IMPORTANT
When the engine is running, the oil
level must be between the minimum
and maximum notches.
Do not mix oils with different
characteristics. Use only oil compliant
with the specifications indicated in
General Data table on page 14.
IMPORTANT
If necessary, contact the manufacturer
of the vehicle in which the engine is
installed or a workshop authorised by
VM MOTORI STELLANTIS EUROPE.
