WATER BLEEDING FROM FUEL SUPPLY CIRCUIT
This operation can be performed only from
the pre-fuel filter.
If the alarm light "water in the fuel"
lights up, (on vehicles provided with this
function), proceed as follows.
IMPORTANT
Turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key. Wait at least 6 minutes
before disconnecting the negative
battery cable.
1 - Carry out the operation with the engine
cold.
2 - Avoid contact with hot engine parts and
bled fuel. Wear appropriate gloves and
clothing.
3 - Prepare a container with suitable
capacity under the fuel filter (A) fig. to the
side.
4 - Unscrew the water presence sensor
(B) fig. to the side. Allow fuel mixed with
water to drain into the container until only
compliant fuel is drained.
5 - Screw the sensor (B) back fig. to the
side.
IMPORTANT
Thoroughly dry the fuel residues before
starting the engine.
IMPORTANT
Dispose of non-compliant fuel in
accordance with the regulations in
force.

after use of the engine in case of
freezing ambient temperature.
