7 - Turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key.
8 - Wait for a few minutes so that the oil
flows into the sump.
9 - Check the correct oil level and, if
necessary, top it up (see Engine Oil Level
Check on page 45).
10 - Start the engine, leave it at idle speed
with no load applied. Make sure there are
no oil leaks. Check the oil pressure (see
General Data table on page 14).
11 - Turn off the engine at the end of the
check.
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
Do not come into contact with hot oil
and hot engine parts to avoid the risk
of burning and scalding.
Do not stand near hot parts to avoid
injury due to heat radiation. Wear
appropriate protective gloves and
clothing.

Carry out their disposal in compliance
with the relevant legislation in force.
CAUTION - PRECAUTION
In case of oil leaks and/or non-
compliant oil pressure values,
immediately stop the engine and
contact the manufacturer of the vehicle
in which the engine is installed or a
workshop authorised by VM MOTORI
STELLANTIS EUROPE.
