ENGINE STORAGE
VM MOTORI STELLANTIS EUROPE
delivers the engine with a protection
treatment which is valid for 12 months
from the delivery date.
The correct management of the
engine storage time is governed by
the warranty conditions applied to the
engine.
RESTORING OPERATING CONDITIONS AFTER ENGINE STORAGE
- Check that there is no damage to the ex-
ternal components of the engine; if neces-
sary, restore the condition of conformity.
- Remove and thoroughly clean any foreign
material deposits on engine components.
- Clean the throats of the metal pulleys, us-
ing a suitable biodegradable solvent. Install
the accessory belt.
- Check the integrity of rubber hoses and
sleeves and the tightening of the relevant
clips; replace the damaged parts.
- The surfaces and components protected
with "FL MECAFLUID / P118 V" protective
oil must be cleaned with a suitable biode-
gradable solvent.
- Check the fluid level: fuel (see page 26),
engine oil (see page 45), coolant (see page
58).

accordance with the legislation in force in
the country where disposal takes place.
IMPORTANT
If necessary, contact the manufacturer
of the vehicle in which the engine is
installed or a workshop authorised by
VM MOTORI STELLANTIS EUROPE.
IMPORTANT
Do not dump any polluting material
in the environment. Carry out their
disposal in compliance with the
legislation in force.
