6. PRIOR TO USE
The Deflector Shaft is delivered non-sterile and must be cleaned/disinfected
and sterilized before first and every following surgical use according to the
processing instructions (see chapter 10–13). Carefully read these instructions
before surgical use. A single-use, sterile rigid joimax
should always be available as substitute.
7. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Open the sterile packaging of the processed Deflector Shaft. Check whether
the coupling for attachment to the Shaver Handpiece at the proximal end of the
Deflector Shaft is freely movable. Assemble the sterile Deflector Shaft with
a corresponding Deflector Blade as described in the following steps 1–6
(see figure 1–6.1).
