BHT Hygienetechnik GmbH, Gersthofen) and the cleaning agent Neo-disher me-

11.4 MANUAL CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
The manufacturer has not validated a manual cleaning and disinfection pro-
cedure for the Deflector Shaft. In case the customer wants to use a manual
cleaning and disinfection procedure for the Deflector Shaft, the responsibility
for achieving the desired result by performing a respective manual cleaning and
disinfection procedure is with the respective processor. A verification and/or
validation and routine monitoring of the manual procedure is required.
12. CONTROL OF FUNCTION AND MAINTENANCE
12.1 CONTROL OF FUNCTION
After cleaning/disinfection, check the Deflector Shaft for function, corrosion,
damaged surfaces, chipping or/and cleanliness.
Furthermore, perform a functional test. The following points need to be taken
care of:
• The bending mechanism of the tip of the Deflector Shaft - using the deflection
adjusting lever – must work accurately. The tip must be deflectable starting
in straight position (0°) in three steps into 12°, 24° and 36° position (watch
reference mark – see figure. 1 or 9 ).
• The Abrasor/Resector-Locking button can be pressed easily and returns auto-
matically after release into its initial position.
• The distal coupling part must be smoothly rotatable.
