S.4 COOLING SYSTEM / SISTEMA DE REFRIGERANTE
Fan Drive Assembly
1- Remove the fan (11).
2- Loosen the nut (1), and remove the fan drive assembly from
the fan bracket (10).
3- Loosen the nut (9) and remove the spring washer and retainer collar (8).
4- Remove the snap ring (3) and press-out the drive shaft (2).
5- Remove the bearing (4), distance collar (5) and bearing (6).
(When reassembling)
• Apply engine oil when press-fittinq the bearings and drive shaft.
• Press-fit the bearing (6) until it fixes with the fan pulley.
• Set the distance collar (5) so that the chamfer Afaces the bearing (6).
• Press-fit the bearing (4) until it fixes with the fan pulley (7).
• Press-fit the drive shaft (2) by supporting the inner race of the
bearing (6).
• IMPORTANT
- After reassembl i n g , be sure whether the fan ro t a t e s
smoothly as not being eccentric.

1- Sacar el ventilador (11).
2- Aflojar la tuerca (1), sacar el conjunto del ventilador desde la
ménsula (10).
3- Aflojar la tuerca (9), sacar la arandela y el collar del retén (8).
4- Sacar el aro de presión (3) y presionar hacia afuera el eje
conductor (2).
5- Sacar el rodamiento (4), el aro separador (5) y rodamiento (6).
(Cuando se vuelva a armar)
• Aplique aceite de motor cuando se colocan a presión los
rodamientos y el eje conductor.
• Colocar a presión el rodamiento (6) hasta que éste se adapta
con la polea del ventilador.
• Colocar el aro separador (5) de tal modo que el chanfle A
enfrenta el rodamiento (6).
• Colocar a presión el rodamiento (4) hasta que se adapta con la
polea del ventilador (7).
• Colocar a presión el eje conductor (2) sosteniendo la pista interna
del rodamiento (6)
• IMPORTANTE
- Luego del re-armado, asegúrese que el ventilador gira
suavemente y no está excéntrico.
