Tamp Pad

Before initial start-up, the tamp pad of the dispensing tamp must be drilled. Number and
distribution of the holes depend on the used label format.
What functions do the holes have
Vacuum in the dispensing tamp acts through the holes onto the label, and keeps it in
place while the applicator is in movement or waiting. When the application signal is trig-
gered, the dispensing tamp will be abruptly supplied with compressed air. The airburst will
be channelled through the holes of the tamp pad onto the label, and escaping air will con-
vey the label onto the product.
What must be observed during the creation of the holes

There is a risk of injury on edges and corners.
Sharp edges and sharp corners can cause abrasions and cuts to
the skin. Always keep the work area clean.
̶ Caution when working in the vicinity of sharp edges and
sharp corners. Remove unneeded items.
̶ In case of doubt wear protective gloves.

Use a 1.5mm Ø drill (included in delivery).

Create the holes perpendicularly to the tamp pad (table drilling machine).

Before installing the tamp pad thoroughly remove drilling swarf.
