Chapter 6 Installation and initial commissioning
Outputs
Function
The SYNC-Signal is used for synchronization of the labeller with conveying system.
However, its signal output is dependent on the position of the potentiometer [TR1↑]
and [TR2↓]. (Setting of the potentiometers, see page 48).
SYNC
The SYNC signal is activated briefly (50 ms) when the dispensing tamp reaches the
base or home position. The conveying system is informed through this signal, when
the print-application-cycle is complete.
Application example: Use of the SYNC and READY signal:
A stopper can be controlled via the SYNC relay contacts, which releases individual prod-
ucts for labelling when the labeller is ready for use. If the potentiometers [TR1↑] + [TR2↓]
(see Fig. 6-3 page 40) is in the maximum position (both at right stop) the following ap-
plies:
The SYNC relay is activated to start the conveyor when the labeller is ready for
use (READY-signal active).
The SYNC-relay is deactivated and thus the conveyor belt stopped, when the
trigger signal is executed (product application position).
After a successful labelling, the SYNC relay is activated again.
