Operating test
The following should be functionally tested:
Set-up generator and turn on power to check the self-test
■
diagnosis and the audible tone output.
Configure the system and confirm that the radio frequency
■
power shuts down when the return electrode is disconnected.
Electrical safety test
Complete the following tests in accordance with the applicable
section of the international standard IEC 60601-1:
Test the protective earth resistance limit: 0.1 Ohms.
■
Test the earth leakage current limit: .5 mA.
■
Test the enclosure leakage current limit: .1 mA.
■
Cleaning
When necessary, clean the radio frequency generator according
to the following guidelines:
Always unplug the generator before cleaning.
■
Keep liquid, including the cleaning fluid, out of the generator's
■
case and any openings.
Do not use spray cleaner directly onto the generator.
■
Do not use harsh or caustic chemical products to clean the
■
generator.
■ Clean the exterior case of the generator with a soft cloth lightly
dampened with water.
To clean the LCD screen, dilute a household water based
■
glass cleaner to a 50/50 ratio with water and spray a small
amount on a clean, soft cloth and gently wipe the screen.
