ENGINE GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Engine R756EU6C has been designed
GB
and manufactured to be installed on road
vehicles that have been type-approved
according to EURO VI anti-pollution
directives.
MAIN ENGINE COMPONENTS
A) Cooler: cools the engine oil by heat
exchange with the coolant fluid.
B) Turbocharger: it consists of a turbine
which exploits part of the exhaust
gas energy to carry out the engine
turbocharging.
C) "EGR - TVA" valve: modulates the
recirculation of exhaust gases before they
flow into the intake
D) Cooler: cools the exhaust gases by
heat exchange with the coolant fluid.
E) Thermostatic valve: adjusts the water
temperature according to the engine
operating temperature.
F) Fuel filter: traps any impurity.
G) Oil filter: traps any impurity.
H) Oil sump: contains the engine
lubrication oil.
L) Suction manifold: conveys the
combustion air into the combustion
chamber.
M) Water pump: feeds the cooling circuit.
N) Drive belt: starts service devices, the
alternator and the water pump (M).
P) Automatic belt tightener: it keeps the
belt constantly tightened.
Q) Alternating current generator: produces
and regulates the electric system voltage.

converter.
X) Air filter: filters the air drawn in by the
engine.
Y) Debimeter: it detects the air mass that
feeds the engine.
Z) Rail: stores pressurised fuel and
distributes it to the injectors.
