DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION WITH BUTTON-OPERATED DEVICE
Regeneration with button-operated
device is normally named "STATIONARY
GB
REGENERATION" and can be carried
out on a vehicle provided with this device,
with cycle duration of 20 - 30 minutes (the
time depends on the quantity of particulate
accumulated in the DPF filter) NOTES: the
engine coolant temperature must be greater
than 65°C (149°F) and in any case must
not exceed the maximum threshold value
(see technical data on page 14).
1) Keep engine at idle speed
2) Put transmission in neutral
3) Engage the vehicle parking brake
4) Press and hold the regeneration request
button for 3 (three) seconds and then
release it. The engine will increase to
approx. 2000 rpm. Let the engine run. The
DPF regeneration process is considered
complete when the engine spontaneously
returns to idle speed after a cycle time of at
least 20 - 30 minutes.
Let the engine run for approx. one minute
before turning it off.
In order to know the location of this
stationary regeneration button, refer
to the documentation provided by the
manufacturer of the vehicle in which the
engine is installed.
English
To avoid injury from inhaling engine
exhaust gases, always operate the
engine in a well-ventilated area. Engine
exhaust gases are toxic.
Before starting the stationary
regeneration process, ensure the safety
of the regeneration service personnel
and the personnel in the surrounding
area.
During the stationary regeneration
process, do not park the vehicle in
an area with flammable materials or
any other part that may burn by heat
radiation or in contact with the engine
exhaust system.
