SEA WATER FILTER
CAUTION - WARNING
Before carrying out the maintenance of sea
water circuit components, always close the
sea water circuit and, when present, the sea
water suction pipe in order to prevent the
entry of sea water during maintenance opera-
tions which could cause damage, shipwreck
the boat, risk of on board personnel injury.
- Carry out the operation with the engine off and
warm or cold.
- Ignition key off and battery negative cable discon-
nected.
- Close the sea water inlet, or remove and plug the
seawater suction pipe.
- Remove the inner container (S) and clean/re-
move any debris trapped inside.
- Check the integrity of the seal. Replace it, if de-
formed or damaged.
- Open again the sea water inlet/restore the sea
water suction pipe.
- Start the engine and leave it at idle speed.
IMPORTANT
In the event of leaks, air inside the circuit or
abnormal increase of the operating tempera-
engine and contact an authorised VM MOTORI
FCA ITALY workshop.
IMPORTANT
Do not dump any polluting material in the en-
vironment. Carry out their disposal in compli-
ance with the relevant legislation in force.
