Oil Change:
Drain the used oil while the engine is warm. Warm oil drains
quickly and completely.

1) Place the outboard motor on a level surface and position
the outboard motor vertically (with the engine level).

Remove the oil filler cap.
2) Remove the 6 x 35 mm special screw and remove the drain

plug cover.

3) Set the drain plug cover on the outboard motor as shown.

4) Place a suitable container next to the outboard motor.
Remove the oil drain plug bolt and the 12 mm drain plug
8
washer, and drain the engine oil.
Replace the 12 mm drain plug washer with a new one on
9 reassembly.
Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that is
10
compatible with the environment. We suggest you take
used oil in a sealed container to your local recycling center
11
or service station for reclamation. Do not throw it in the
trash, pour it on the ground, or pour it down a drain.

Used engine oil contains substances that have been
identified as carcinogenic.

If repeatedly left in contact with the skin for prolonged
periods, it may cause skin cancer.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water as

soon as possible after contact with used engine oil.

5) After draining, set a new 12 mm drain plug washer on the
oil drain plug bolt. Tighten the oil drain plug bolt to the
specified torque.

TORQUE: 23 N . m (2.3 kgf . m, 17 lbf . ft)

6) Refill with the recommended engine oil up to the upper
20
level mark on the dipstick.
Install the oil filler cap.

7) Install the engine cover (P. 4-2).
