• FUNCTION TEST USING HDS (Dr. H OR POCKET TESTER)

Turn the combination switch OFF
and connect the HDS (P. 5-12).
Inspect the warning buzzer using the
HDS.
Does the buzzer sound?
YES
Inspect the alternator indicator light
using the HDS.
Does the alternator indicator light
blink?
YES
Inspect the MIL indicator light using
the HDS.
Does the MIL indicator light blink?
YES
Inspect the overheat indicator light
using the HDS.
Does the overheat indicator light
blink?
YES
Inspect the oil indicator light using
the HDS.
Does the oil indicator light blink?
YES
Replace the ECM with a new one and
recheck.
