level. Is the oil level within the

Let the engine idle and check the oil
indicator light and buzzer.
Does the oil indicator light come ON
and the warning buzzer
sounding?

Disconnect the oil pressure switch
terminal.
Does the oil indicator light come ON
and buzzer stop sounding?
YES
Check the oil pressure (P. 2-33).
Is the oil pressure within the
specification?
YES
Check the oil pressure switch
(P. 5-116).
Is it normal?
YES
Check the engine.

Adjust the oil level.
Snap the engine (4,000 min (rpm) or

above under no load) and check the
oil indicator light and buzzer.
Does the oil indicator light go OFF
and the buzzer sound again?
NO

• Oil filter cartridge blocked
• Oil strainer blocked
• Oil pump faulty
• Oil passage blocked
Replace the oil pressure switch
