If the white balance is unsuccessful:

Prevent overexposure:
– Enlarge the distance to the white object.
– Adjust the brightness of the light source.

Repeat the white balance.
Image display
The image display can be changed manually for individually created pro-
files. These changes are retained until the next time the type of camera
head or profile is changed.
The following changes are possible:

Brightness
■
Digital zoom
■
Contrast
■
Edge enhancement

Open menu and navigate to the required menu item.
►
Using the arrow buttons, apply the setting to the controller or switch a
function on or off.
Effects
Effects can be added to the set profile.
►
Open menu and navigate to menu item Effects.
►
Select and activate the effect.
►
Deactivate the effect in the same way.
The effects can be combined in any way and can be used together or sep-
arately, with or without Picture out of Picture effect.

Light guide cable not connected correctly

Remedy
Connect and switch on the devices according to the
"Preparation and setup" chapter.
Change the fuse according to the instructions in
"Changing a fuse".
Connect the camera control unit according to the
"Preparation and setup" chapter.
Connect the camera head to the camera control
unit.
Check the plug for moisture. If the cable is defective,
send it for repair.
Check monitor settings.
Replace the video cable or send the product for
repair.
Perform a white balance pursuant to the chapter on
Operations.
Correctly implement the settings pursuant to the
chapter on Preparation and Setup.
Readjust the monitor settings according to the
Instructions For Use of the monitor.

Check the mains connection and connect the
power if necessary.
■
Check the fuse and replace if necessary.
Check that the light guide cable is connected prop-
erly; correct if necessary.
Replace the light guide.
