Daily, weekly, and monthly check-up
Daily check
General cleaning of the Plant
especially paying close attention to
the points where material builds up
or sticks.
Remove all material accumulated
in the elevator, mixer, and asphalt
silo.
Clean up any material that may
have been spilled on any part of
the Plant so that it does not stick to
floors, component surfaces, or
even to the ground.
Used compressed air (available
from the Plant) to clean the more
difficult points to reach by normal
cleaning such as the spaces
between motors and the
framework, motor fan blades, etc.
Check if there is any oil, asphalt, or
compressed air leaks.
Drain the filter and the compressed
air reservoir.
Check the unloading silo's
operation.

Weekly check
Check the tension of the belts and
drive chains.
Check the alignment on the
conveyor belts.
Remove excess grease around the
bearings and check if they are
operating correctly.
Clean up any lubricant or fuel that
may have spilled.
If necessary, check and correct the
alignment of the dryer rolls.
Take apart the burner in order to
clean it internally and unplug the
nozzles and filters.
Check the burner's operational
status from the master tank or from
the thermal fluid heater and adjust
the proportion of air/fuel mixture if
necessary.
Check if the gaskets on the pumps
need to be retightened.
Check the exhaust fan and air pipe
dampers.
Check the air system filters.
ASPHALT PLANT
Monthly check
Check the operation of the
conveyor belt rollers.
Check the state of the roller
bearings (without disassembling
them). Only check if there are
abnormal noises or vibrations.
Check how much the gears and
drive chains are worn down.
Check the state of the paddle tips
of the mixer and adjust their height
in relation to the wear plates.
Replace the paddle tips that are
worn or broken.
Check the thickness of the mixer's
wear plates.
Clean inside the operation table
and electric switch cabin by using
a vacuum cleaner.
Check the operation of the electric
motors and if they are well
fastened.
Check the oil level of the gear
motors and of the air compressor.
Check the links and pins of the
drag conveyor chain.
Check the wear plates on the
bottom of the drag conveyor.
Check if the slats of the drag
conveyor are worn or bent.
Clean the fan blades of the Plant's
electric motors.
