Cold air damper
A. Manual - Automatic: the Manual-Automatic button gives to the
operator the option of choosing between two operating modes. In
automatic operation the actuator is going to try to maintain the
temperature as close as possible to the bag filter's setpoint
temperature, which is set on the cold air configuration screen (F);
B. Open: when this button is pressed, the actuator opens the damper.
This is a retentive button, which means that it will remain pressed
until the operator pushes it again. This button can only be used
when the operation is in manual mode;
C. Close: when this button is pressed, the actuator closes the cold air
damper. This is a retentive button, which means that it will remain
pressed until the operator pushes it again. This button can only be
used when the operation is in manual mode;
D. Begin production: when this button is pressed the actuator will close
or open the exhauster damper and the cold-air damper in the
proportion set in Ciber's restricted access area, independently of the
percentage it is currently found;
E. Configuration: when this button is pressed it will open a window
where it is possible to see the actual temperature in the bag filter as
well as change the setpoint level of this temperature. This value is
used in the automatic operating mode;
F. Bag filter setpoint temperature: this is the reference temperature for
the bag filter so that the actuator can keep it as close as possible to
this level by opening or closing the damper. The specifics here are
that the PLC receives a temperature signal from the bag filter and
makes a comparison of this level with the reference and depending
on this difference it either closes or opens the damper using the
actuator. The setpoint value recommended is between 120 to 122
°C;
G. Bag filter temperature: actual temperature inside the bag filter in
degrees Celsius.
ATTENTION
The operation of the dampers should be checked on a daily
basis due to their importance. If they are not in perfect
working conditions they could cause the bags to burn or for
the combustion to be inefficient.
